v4.44.3 — Closing a case file data leak (immediate update recommended)
Case file contents could be downloaded from the internet without signing in. By mistake, the system exposed a second file address that asked for no username or password. Documents are stored encrypted, but the index the assistant uses to search inside them keeps the text in the clear, and that index was within reach of anyone who guessed the address. That address has been removed.
And a user with a valid session could read case files that weren’t theirs. The other file address —the one that does require a session— served any folder, including that same index: all it took was having an account, even without access to a single project. Now it only serves presentation assets (logos and inventory images); documents are still downloaded through their own route, the one that checks access to the project.
In the Central system, the address that changes an instance’s logo and name accepted the instance identifier —a piece of data, not a secret— as a credential. It now requires the instance’s access key.
No migrations. Update backend and frontend together. Sign-in logos and inventory images keep working the same; if any custom setup of your own served files from another uploads folder, it needs to be moved to branding.
v4.44.2 — The list first, the filters when you ask for them
Open Projects on your phone and see projects. It sounds obvious, but until now it didn’t happen: when you opened it, the first thing you saw was four or five rows of filters —search, status, priority, owner, archived— and the first project was pushed off the screen. Now that block collapses. On the phone it starts closed and opens with a tap; on the computer it starts open as always, and if you want more room you can close it too. The same goes for Tasks, Clients, Contacts and Calendar. And so a filtered list is never mistaken for an empty one, the button shows a dot when filters are set and the panel is closed.
The help finally explains what the assistant does with the internet. It’s one of the things that surprises people most when they stumble on it: paste a link to an article and the assistant comments on it; paste a YouTube video link and it summarizes what was said; turn on Research Mode and within a few minutes you have a document with sources. None of that was documented. The new “Research and web content” section explains it in plain language: what the system does in each case, what it can’t read and why, what information goes out when you search —your question, yes; your documents, no— and what to do when something doesn’t work.
Minor but visible detail: the tips on the sign-in screen were showing up as plain text. They have their image back.
v4.44.1 — The app stops asking for your password all the time
Signing in should mean signing in once. If you used the mobile app, you’ve already been through it: you closed it, opened it again and there was the password screen once more. It wasn’t the phone forgetting: the system handed over the session in a way that Android’s built-in browser discards as soon as the app closes, even though your session was still perfectly valid. Not anymore. You open the app and land straight on your dashboard. The same goes for the computer: closing the browser no longer signs you out.
More screen for what matters. On the phone, the top bar moves out of the way when you scroll down a list and comes back as soon as you scroll up. On small screens that’s half a dozen more rows of cases or tasks in view. Nothing changes on the computer.
Notifications you can sort. Push notifications now arrive categorized —deadlines, tasks, mentions, documents and processes— with the system icon in the status bar. From the phone’s own settings you can, for example, mute document notifications and keep deadline ones on. And if the same matter notifies you again, the new notification replaces the previous one instead of piling up rows.
v4.44.0 — Your firm notifies you on your phone (and invoices with withholdings)
Push notifications. Until now, notifications lived inside the system: if you didn’t have it open, you found out late. With this release the notification reaches you wherever you are — desktop or phone, with the system closed. It’s one more channel, alongside email and Telegram, and it’s chosen by notification type just like the others: maybe you want push for overdue tasks and only email for the daily summary. Turn it on in Profile → Notifications, “Enable on this device” button. Tapping the notification takes you straight to the case, task or document that triggered it.
The system, installable as an app. From the browser you can install it with its own icon, without an address bar. And for Android there’s a dedicated app, “Iurefficient Teams”: you give it the firm’s address once, it remembers up to five servers and it receives notifications like any other app on the phone.
Invoicing: VAT and income tax (ISR) withholding. If you’re an individual and you invoice a company, they withhold two-thirds of the VAT (10.6667%) and 10% of ISR — and until now there was nowhere to enter them. Now there is: two checkboxes on each line item, with the rate in view and editable (it works just as well for the 6% on personnel services or the 4% on freight transport), one click to apply them to all line items, and the calculation and total visible while you enter them, not after saving. Withholdings you agreed on in a quote now carry over to the invoice automatically when you convert it.
