v4.42.0 — Reports that actually draw what you ask for, send themselves and protect your data

Your charts finally come out the way you asked. In the report builder, when you chose “pie” it still came out as bars, and “line” or “area” ended up as a plain table. Not anymore: each report draws the chart type you configured —bar, pie, line or area— and the pie chart shows real percentages of the total, with its legend. The same applies to the PDF you download or send.

Schedule the delivery and forget about it. Need the progress report to reach the team every Monday, or the monthly summary on the first of the month? From each report’s page you can now schedule its delivery by email: you choose the frequency (weekly, monthly, daily or just once), the day, the time, the format (PDF or Word) and the recipients. The platform generates and sends it on its own; you can see the next delivery, pause it or cancel it whenever you want. (For now, recipients must be platform users.)

Word and Excel files that don’t break. Reports with content from scanned documents, with titles containing a slash (“/”) or with data queries could fail when exporting to Word or Excel — and query tables sometimes repeated the column name in every cell instead of the data. All of that has been fixed.

More useful queries and a more polished interface. In the Queries tab, the Run button executes exactly the SQL you edited (before, it made it up again); “Add to dashboard” actually creates the widget; and there are improvements to dark mode, dates and CSV export that Excel opens without broken accents.

And we strengthened the module’s security. We closed a gap through which, via report queries, a user could reach information that didn’t belong to them; those queries are now strictly scoped. In addition, a report can only show the projects and documents that the person generating it has permission to see, and email delivery is restricted to platform users.

When you update, the migration runs automatically. Update backend and frontend together.
