What’s new? v4.65 – Users report and approve hours

What’s new? v4.65 – Users report and approve hours

v4.65.0 — The brand in its place, hours that actually get reported, and notifications that lead somewhere

v4.65.0 — The brand in its place, hours that actually get reported, and notifications that lead somewhere

  • A submitted timesheet now reaches someone who can approve it. People with no supervisor on record — the boss, among others — submitted their week and nobody found out: since nobody approves their own hours, that week stayed “submitted” forever. Now the notice goes to the administrators, who could already approve it, and if there’s simply nobody who can, the person who submitted it is told instead of being left waiting.
  • And that notice now takes you to the review screen. Before, it landed on the dashboard: the inbox for approving or returning timesheets has existed since 4.57.0, but without a link nobody discovered it. The same notice takes each person where they need to go: the submitter to their timesheet, the approver to the inbox.
  • The Tasks Excel export includes actual hours, and the same report in PDF now says the same thing as the Excel. “Start” and “Actual Hours” are added, and hours are exported as numbers so they can be summed in the spreadsheet. The owner also appears when the task is assigned to an external contact.
  • The app icons are now the official brand: the one on the phone’s home screen, the one on the browser tab, and the little icon on push notifications, which used to show up as a solid blob.
  • The splash screen no longer shows an icon before the animation. One logo appeared and then another came in on top of it.
  • The assistant’s recommendation when you log in has clickable links again, like the “Daily summary” card right above it; before, the bare URL appeared in mid-sentence.
  • The Sheet explains what “paste from Excel” means — copying a block of cells and dropping it onto a cell — and mentions Ctrl+S in addition to ⌘S. No migrations. Update backend and frontend together.
