v4.77.0 — Task filters, and the incoming lead inbox
The status dropdown filtered by the project’s status, not the task’s. Since at a firm almost no project is “pending,” asking for “pending only” returned a tiny list with tasks in the wrong status. The same happened with the priority filter, and the task type filter simply failed. None of them gave any warning: they returned a list, and a short list reads as “there are only a few,” not as “the filter is broken.”
And completed tasks showed up inside “what needs attention”, because the list hung all of each task’s subtasks under it, whether they matched the filter or not. A filtered list that shows rows that don’t match the filter is lying about what it shows.
The CRM opens with an inbox. Whoever filled out the contact form on the website came in fine and got lost there: you had to go to Leads and search for them by name. Now the dashboard opens with what has come in on its own and nobody has handled, right at the top — it’s the only thing on that screen that expires. It empties when you work it, not when you look at it, and when there’s nothing pending it isn’t shown.
No database changes. Updating doesn’t turn anything on; the inbox only appears if a web form has been set up and someone has used it.
